Hi Fellow Runner,
Tomorrow, when the morning breaks, I will be up and running my longest run of the year thus far. And how long is that? More than double of my comfortable easy morning run of seven kilometers.
Fifteen {long} kilometers to be exact.
I've been running a 3-km loop twice or thrice for my easy runs this year.
Tomorrow, I plan to extend this loop to 7-km and run it twice. To do
that, I will have to run further to a place I haven't ran before.
Extending the loop. Hopefully, it will make my running more fun while
being longer and more difficult at the same time. More fun and yet more difficult,
e? Such foolishness!
I shall be updating you again with what happened, if I finished and how fast or better yet, how slow I did this. If successful, I would have equalled the longest run I finished last 2014 -- 15 kilometres.
And if so, I could proceed with my plan of running 22+ kilometers by end of next month. But that is yet another story. First things first and one step at a time, shall we?
Fifteen kilometers tomorrow morning, before the clock hits 6 AM.
Let us keep running.
Warmest Regards,
The Pandesal Runner

Pro Earth Run 2015: Run the Race for Mother Earth
Pro-Earth Run Newsletter:
In its Global Climate Risk Index 2015, Germanwatch
listed the Philippines as one of the countries most affected by extreme weather
events in 2013.
It also reconfirmed
that "less developed countries are generally more affected [by extreme
weather] than industrialized countries, and forewarned that “if mitigation
efforts are not immediately taken, the world will continue heading down the
path towards dangerous climate change.”
Is it a downward spiral from here? Prayerfully, NO.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single
step,” said Chinese Philosopher Lao-tzu. So is the race to protect, respect,
and oversee care for Mother Earth.

responsibility and raise funds for Earth Day Network Philippines' continuing

Earth!2015 MILO Calendar of Events
Happy 2015!
I am sharing with you an email from MILO regarding their schedule of running events for this year. I am thrilled that the Manila marathon leg will be held on July 26. This means a lot of training weeks and months are still left for us to prepare for it.
The National Finals will be held outside of Manila. I have ran much of my races in Metro Manila and all of my four marathons were ran here in the national capital. Fresh air? New place and route? New faces and crowd? (Hmmmm.. sounds great!)
